Ducati has launched the Monster 797 and Multistrada 950 in India 

Now, with 19 models on offer, the company plans to strengthen its market share in the big bike segment.

The Ducati Monster 797 and Multistrada 950 are the first of five all-new motorcycles that will be launched by the bike maker in India, this year. Now, with 19 models on offer, the company plans to strengthen its market share in the big bike segment.

Speaking about these new offerings, Ravi Avalur, Managing Director, Ducati India Ravi said, “Both these motorcycles are gateways to the Ducati world and its values. This is a major step towards the growth of our brand’s product range in India. With the launch of these motorcycles, Ducati India will be well positioned to compete across price points.”

Road ready
The Monster 797 comes fitted with an air-cooled 803 cc Desmodue L-twin engine housed in the tubular Ducati Trellis frame. Touted to be an agile and dynamic bike, it is capable of delivering 75 Bhp at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque of 69 Nm at 5,750 rpm. 

 The Multistrada 950 combines features from the Multistrada 1200 and the Enduro models to deliver a bike that is high on comfort, style and performance. Powering the Multistrada 950 is the 937cc Testastretta 11° engine that churns a maximum of 113 Bhp at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 96.2 Nm at 7,750 rpm.  It also gets four riding modes—Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro, each of which gives the Multistrada 950, a distinctive personality. 

The Monster 797 is now available across all Ducati at an introductory price of `7,77,000 (Ex-showroom, New Delhi) while the Multistrada 950 is being offered for `12,60,000 (Ex-showroom, India, based on GST with effect from July 1).
