First showcased as a concept at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 200R boasts of a muscular stance. This bodes well with its edgy aggressive styling thanks to its sporty headlight unit, eyebrow-shaped LED pilot lamps, an LED tail lamp with guide lights, and a very smart looking instrument cluster. The tank is sculpted to add that sporty flair and the overall stance has that hint of aggression.

Powering the new vehicle is an all-new 200cc air-cooled engine. It is capable of delivering a maximum power output of 18.4 PS and maximum torque of 17.1 Nm. As far as the performance figures are concerned, the bike can go from 0-60 kmph in 4.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 114 kmph. The brand has fitted the engine with additional balancers in order to ensure that the power delivery is smooth and it also helps lower the vibrations.

The lightweight frame of the automobile has been designed to offer precise handling, without compromising on rider comfort. In addition to that, the bike gets a 37mm broad front fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock rear suspension. The vehicle gets 276mm disc brakes up front and a 220mm disc at the rear with ABS offered as an option.

Complementing the design and providing better grip is the wide 17-inch rear radial tyre shod with 130/70 rubber. Designed and developed at Hero MotoCorp’s in-house R&D facility, the Xtreme 200R will go on sale in April 2018 at an expected price that will be below `1 lakh.
