Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have launched the stylish looking X-Blade in the 160 cc motorcycle category. The sporty bike boasts of an edgy design with a commanding stance and a rather futuristic-looking segment-first LED headlamp that lends it an almost robotic impression. Add to that, the bike gets a neat razor-edged LED tail lamp and a sculpted fuel tank. Completing the visual package are the grab rails that follow that same edgy theme of the bike and the finishing touch comes with the chrome tip on the muffler to give it that sporty look.

Powering the vehicle is the tried and tested 162.71 cc HET engine that is touted to deliver the ideal balance between performance and efficiency. The engine is capable of delivering 13.93 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 13.9 Nm at 6,000 rpm. According to the manufacturer, the engine has been specifically designed to deliver good low and mid-range performance which makes it ideal for city riding. Fitted with a link type gear shifter that offers precise and smooth shifts, the motorcycle is said to be quite a joy to ride.

To ensure all-round comfort, the bike comes with a wide 130 mm rear tyre, mono shock rear suspension, a long seat, and a very comfortable riding position. Incidentally, the bike has been tuned to handle rather well and is confidence inspiring around corners.  On the convenience front, you get a digital meter, gear position indicator, service due indicator, hazard switch, and a seal chain. The Honda X-Blade has been priced at `78,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
