The Indian subsidiary of the Japanese manufacturer has come out with a new variant of the Micra. Driven by customer demand, Nissan has kitted out the sporty hatchback with a host of safety additions that include dual airbags, a speed warning device, speed sensing door locks as well as a seatbelt reminder chime for the driver. 

In terms of smart networking features, the carmaker is offering their integrated connected car technology, namely Nissan Connect, as part of the package. Through this system, the owner can access a host of security features such as geo-fencing, speed alert, and the ability to share the car’s location. The new Micra also comes with a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a reverse camera as well as rear parking sensors which are now in high demand. Offered in a choice of petrol and diesel powertrains, the pricing remains competitive with the range starting from `5.03 lakh onwards.
