Soundgarden and Audioslave singer Chris Cornell passes away

Cornell will be best remembered for singing You Know My Name for James Bond film Casino Royale.

Audioslave frontman, Chris Cornell passed away earlier today. Cornell, 52, gained popularity in the music fraternity as the lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave. 

According to reports, Brian Bumbery told the media that the American singer died in Detroit, Michigan and that it was 'unexpected and sudden.'

"Chris Cornell passed away late last night in Detroit, MI. His wife Vicky and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing, and they will be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause," Bumbery told the media.
 
Cornell will be best remembered for singing You Know My Name, the theme song for James Bond film Casino Royale.

Chris Cornell had Tweeted about Soundgarden's concert in Michigan just hours before his death was announced.
