Celebrating the 92nd birth anniversary of renowned tabla player, Pt Chatur Lal, the Pandit Chatur Lal Memorial Society is organising PRAYAS, an evening dedicated to Indian classical music, this Friday.
The music concert will feature a line-up of popular classical musicians from the country including master of Sarangi Harsh Narayan. The sarangi recital will be followed by Kathak, presented by Pandit Deepak Maharaj accompanied by Pranshu Chatur Lal.
The 10-city musical tour aims to propagate Indian Classical music among the common masse. During the performances, the artistes will also talk about their instrument, the nuances of their art form and explain the importance of ragas and talas. The last segment will include an interactive Q&A series between the maestros and the audience.
