World Music Day: Bappi Lahiri releases new peppy international track We Are One

Bollywood maestro Bappi Lahiri on Thursday released his new track We Are One and is set to make its debut on the global charts soon. The singer who has been in the industry for many years said that the song is very close to his heart as he has collaborated with international musicians in Los Angeles and it will be released on Youtube. 

According to a media report, Bappi Lahiri talking about the kind of music in India said that the younger generation of musicians in the country needs to appreciate both global music and the traditional Indian style. He went on to say that he may be known more for his songs like Jimmy Jimmy and Disco Dancer but he could also compose raga-based songs like Saiyyan bina ghar soona which was sung by Lata Mangeshkar in Aangan Ki Kali

The composer who has been a part of the industry for over 50 years said that he is happy that his songs are still being played and even being remixed by the newer generation. Interestingly, his song Tamma tamma was remixed and used by Karan Johar in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. His songs like Jimmy Jimmy from the film Disco Dancer has now been honoured by the World Book Of Records.
