1.       When did you conceive the idea for the song Bambai Nagariya?

There was this one time when I part of this radio interview with RJ Roshan. He gave me a challenge: to compose a song in five minutes on Mumbai. So, I chose to write a few lines on the life struggles that people go through when they come to Mumbai. I wrote a few lines there and later my colleague Anjana inspired me to write a complete song on it. She believed that people would relate to it.
2.       What influences your sound?

Theatre has played a big role in my life and it helps me to compose the music I make. I get inspired by the lyrics and tunes that I hear. I completely follow my instincts when I'm working on a song. I  always have my phone with me so as soon as I like something, I record it and later work on it.

3.       Future projects

Right now, I am working with Sony Music and I will be associated with them in a long term. I have released four or five songs with them and there will be other songs in the future. One of my compositions that will be released soon is for Mother’s Day. There is also another one in the works on auto rickshaw wallas. By the end of the year, there will be a considerable amount of content. Right now, we are shooting videos for some of the songs which I am really excited about.
