Nikhil Chinapa's Mumbai-based Submerge launches music label for Indian producers

Nikhil said the company felt it was the right time to promote the wealth of talent that India is produce in the electronic music space which a separate label dedicated to it.

Popular TV host and DJ, Nikhil Chinapa's artiste management company Submerge is set to launch a music label called Submerge Music, after completing 15 years in the industry, after first launching in 2003. The label is reportedly which has helped manage multiple artistes is going to work with Indian producers who are looking to make a global presence. 

Founded by Nikhil Chinapa, Pearl and Hermit Sethi, submerge has brought together many artistes in the country as well as curate dance music events to give India a taste of a complete festival. Talking about the label, Nikhil said the company felt it was the right time to promote the wealth of talent that India is produce in the electronic music space which a separate label dedicated to it. He added that while they have promoted electronic music over time regardless of the sub-genre, they want to now focus on underground music while also building their repertoire. The label will also focus on collaborations among artistes, especially local and international audience to get both a larger audience in the music space. 

Interestingly, the label already has their first release by Manny and Ajmal, who have previously performed as BLaNK and their new album will be called 11:11, as it releases on Sunday, when it goes live for listeners.
