Tolly filmmakers Shiboprosad and Nandita announce next project starring Ritabhari and Soham
Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy will be introducing filmmaker Aritra Mukherjee with Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti on Women's Day next year
This year on Woman's Day filmmakers Shiboporsad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy gifted the Bengali cinemagoers a beautiful heart-rending movie based on a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law story and gave Tollywood a bright new talent, namely young and spritely director Pritha Chakraborty. Chakraborty's debut movie Mukherjee Dar Bou starring Anusua Majumdar and Konnenica Banerjee in the lead also happens to be one of the blockbusters this year.
Encouraged by this unprecedented response, Windows, the production house run by Mukherjee and Roy, resolve to introduce new talents every year around the same date and release a movie that tells the tale of women, who are simple yet unique, who are ordinary, yet extraordinary in their resolve and action.
Next year, too Windows is introducing another filmmaker Aritra Mukherjee, who will be debuting with Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti (God knows your deepest secrets). Starring Ritabhari Chakraborty in the lead, this film, to be released around Women's Day next year, will also have Soham Majumdar, who played Shahid Kapur's friend's role in the super hit movie Kabir Singh.
A look at the poster that was released a couple of days back, tells that this film too will be entertaining and replete with social messages at the same time. Posing as Dasabhuja (ten hands) Durga Ritabhari's ten hands have a lot of props including sanitary napkin.
Sources reveal that the story will revolve around a Hindu woman priest who challenges the prevailing social customs and norms. Well, for the rest of the story, you have to keep watching this space and wait until next year March.
