Morning Azaan upsets Sonu Nigam, his views upset Twitterati
Sonu Nigam, who was recently in news for his latest song, Cricket Wali Beat, with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, seems to be in troubled waters.
The 43-year-old singer, who had an unusual early morning today, took on Twitter to express his emotions on how religion is forced on people in India.
God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India— Sonu Nigam (@sonunigam) April 16, 2017
And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?— Sonu Nigam (@sonunigam) April 17, 2017
I don't believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity To wake up people who don't follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True?— Sonu Nigam (@sonunigam) April 17, 2017
Gundagardi hai bus...— Sonu Nigam (@sonunigam) April 17, 2017
Turns out that the outrage that was seen in a series of tweets by the Bollywood singer was only because of the morning Azaan near his house. Though he started tweeting at 5 am, in no time the twitterati began to troll him for his views on religious practices in India.
@sonunigam Oh dear Sonu! Now be prepared for some mullah to issue FATWAS against you, and Libtards to call u INTOLERANT towards the Peaceful religion
