Chris Gayle has had his fair share of controversy in the past and the Jamaican cricketer who plays for West Indies is not shying away again. After scoring a century in the IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday night, he went on to say that Virender Sehwag was right and has saved the League by picking him in the squad. While the former Indian cricketer is popular for his tweets, Chris Gayle immediately replied to his tweet about after the match.

Bengaluru's home Royal Challengers Bangalore had earlier released Gayle inspite of the cricketer being among their leading scorers with 3,420 runs in 91 matches. The Jamaican remained unsold on the first day of the IPL and was picked up at the last moment on the second day by Virendra Sehwag of Kings XI Punjab for his base price of Rs 2 crore.

The team, co-owned by Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia, did not pick the cricketer for the first two games in IPL 2018. The cricketer, however, made sure he made his point in the next match when he scored 63 runs off 33 balls. The West Indian took it a step further last night when he scored 104 off just 63 deliveries and made the statement in the post-match interview.
