The Aligarh Police on Wednesday registered a complaint filed by a Noida-based event management company against Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor. Criminal cases were registered against the singer along with manager and agent.
According to Manoj Sharma, from the event management company, Kanika has not returned money paid to her by his firm to perform at an exhibition in Aligarh on January 22. The singer was paid Rs 24.95 lakh, which included airfare and hotel expenses, but she did not turn up for the event and has still not paid them back.
The event management company has also said it will file a defamation suit against the singer as the reputation of the firm and the reputation of Manoj Sharma has been tarnished because of the cancellation of the event handled by him.
