Anil Kapoor-starrer Fanney Khan hit screens on Friday and while the film is still to get its reviews, actress Piu Sand, has said she is happy to play the role of her body type. The actress who plays Anil Kapoor’s daughter in the film said she is surprised that nobody has trolled her yet about her role for which she gained 20 kilos.
According to an interview with a leading publication, Piu said she feels privileged to play such a powerful character and because of the body type, there are many people who are relating to it. She also went on to say that she was teased as a fat kid but a lot has changed now that she is addressing the issue on the big screen, a lot of people are coming out in support. She said, not once, did she see a comment where people have called her fat or that she does not look nice or even that she is weirdly dressed.
The actress said he was informed that she was selected from one among 500 girls said that audience is the key for change in Indian cinema and people are liking it now more than ever before because it is realistic. They also tend to like relatable stories, however, she said it is really difficult to play onscreen as the emotion has to be real otherwise it wouldn’t look real. However, she said the audience’s attitude is changing as they find the films more relatable than before, which is a good change.
