A week after BCCI was trolled for having Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma in a picture with the Indian cricket team, the actress has come out to clarify the issue about it. The Phillauri actress has said that the picture taken at the Indian High Commission for the team in the UK happened within the guidelines of the BCCI and it was not an extraordinary situation.

According to media reports, Anushka Sharma said that while the Board of Cricket Control in India and she were trolled for the picture online, said that she does not want to react to them but it was also done keeping the rules in mind. She also went on to add that people should stop making a hue and cry about it and the clarification has already been done, so it does not need to blow out of proportion for no reason.

The trolling began after BCCI posted a picture on Twitter with the caption reading. “#TeamIndia members at the High Commission of India in London." Interestingly, only Anushka Sharma was the only wife or partner in the picture and no other players wives or partners were part of it, raising eyebrows over the preference. People went on to say that while the vice-captain wasn’t given preference, it is Virat Kohli’s wife, who appeared next to him.
