Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has stirred up a controversy after her recent comments about lynching in the country. The actor while talking to Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev said it is a sad state of affairs that people are being lynched in the name of cows in India; however, after being slammed for the comments, she has decided to stick by them and said she hasn’t said anything wrong.

In a recent interview with a leading publication, Kangana said she definitely stands by everything she spoke with the Sadhguru and will not back out because of criticism. She went on to add that both of them during the talk did not normalize lynching at all and said that if a certain religion worships cows, you cannot slaughter them. However, Kangana also said that she is a vegan and cannot see raw meat but she can’t be shamed for her choices. She added that if it is sentimental, what is the need for people to be instigated.

Talking about her discussion with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev about cow vigilantism, she said people cannot hurt sentiments under the garb of being liberal, especially in a diverse land like India where people’s emotions should be a priority. This is not the first time that Kangana has been involved in a controversy, however, she does not usually talk about politics in the country and this is a first.

In Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut is busy shooting for Manikarnika which is a film based on the freedom fighter Rani Laxmi Bai. She will also be seen in Mental Hai Kya with Rajkummar Rao, in her upcoming projects.
