Bollywood actor Kalki Koechlin has done a variety of films with unconventional roles and some of the most prominent are That Girl in Yellow Boots, Margarita with a Straw and Waiting among others. However, the National-Award winning actress has said she never tries to shock her audience and do something which is absolutely different, Kalki said she always tries to express what she feels like at the moment.
Coincidentally, Kalki recently chopped her and many people were shocked and all she said was she didn't really think about it. All she knew was that she wanted to change it and in fact referred to Google to see how she could cut her hair differently. Interestingly, the kind of opinions she has got after the haircut are those where people think she is sick but instead all she is doing is expressing herself like she has always done. The actor is currently involved in the live edition of her podcast series Kalki Presents: My Indian Life which was released on August 4. The podcast is about being young and Indian in the 21st century and has Over 10 episodes while exploring extraordinary real-life stories from around the country. One episode is about a woman who talks to Kalki about her part in India's Mars mission, while another is the story of a man with a speech impediment trying to succeed as a musician.
The series will also feature stories on family conflicts, harassment, caste discrimination, body insecurities and even sex education. It is also BBC's first English language podcast aimed at young adult Indians and is one of the first times that Kalki is exploring podcasts. The actress said it is an interesting platform to understand the young population in the world as we have a lot of young adults who are extremely smart and talented and have a lot of opinions.
Kalki who is a part of Ranveer Singh's Gully Boy has just finished for the film. The actress is also working on her first web series titled Made In Heaven It which is set in Delhi, among her upcoming projects.
