The news of director Shakun Batra planning a film on the life of the late godman, Bhagwan Rajneesh, popularly known as Osho, was out on the internet some time ago.
While the film is still in its scripting stage, rumours are that the makers have decided to cast superstar Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt in the lead.
According to the grapevine, Aamir Khan will be essaying the role of Osho in the biopic and the interest has soared even higher.
Reportedly, Raazi actress Alia Bhatt is being considered for the role of Ma Anand Sheela, the godman’s secretary.
A source close to the project informed a leading film magazine, “Aamir Khan is known to be a perfectionist with his work which is why the makers are planning to take someone exceptionally talented in the younger lot of actors. Alia Bhatt is supremely talented and she can be the perfect choice for the role.”
However, the official announcement is yet to be made.
