Actress and newlywed Deepika Padukone has topped the list 50 Sexiest Asian Women, followed by Quantico star Priyanka Chopra. The annual list, which is curated by a leading global media organisation, was released on Friday. The criteria include a series of social media and related polling, after which the winners are announced.
Deepika, who tied the knot with actor Ranveer Singh last month, had a successful year with the box-office hit Padmaavat, also starring Shahid Kapoor. “Apart from being the undisputed queen of Bollywood and a strikingly beautiful star, what really makes Deepika Padukone special is how big her heart is and how grounded she has remained throughout her remarkable rise,” said the editor of the newspaper.
On the third place is Television actress Nia Sharma who is in the list for the third time, followed by Pakistani actor Mahira Khan. Last year, Priyanka topped the list. Others in this year’s list include Alia Bhatt (6), Sonam Kapoor (7), Katrina Kaif (9) and Niti Taylor (10).
