He plays the adorable Azaan who dies for his countrymen in Tiger Zinda Hai. The new actor with chocolate boy looks, Paresh Pahuja, has certainly made a mark with his impressive debut alongside Salman Khan. The advertising professional-turned-model-turned actor, Paresh, was spotted by Shanoo Sharma, Yash Raj Films' (YRF) casting director who is known for her apt choices. "She spotted me in a McDowell's No. 1 ad about two years ago. But she didn't call me till the auditions were on for Tiger Zinda Hai. Only when she knew she had a role for me, I got a call from her. I just went without any undue stress because I didn't know it was for this big film," reveals Paresh.

Being part of an ensemble cast that included superstar such as Salman Khan and other credible actors - Paresh Rawal, Kumud Mishra, Angad Bedi, and Katrina Kaif, meant there was pressure on Paresh but the actor says, "I had soem reservation when I heard it was Salman's film, he has an influential image. I was worried if I would be able to make any impact that too because this is my debut film. But once I read the script, I knew this was the best I could get!" Once onboard, Paresh's training as the army marksman was the most critical. He had to get the body language right which came easily to him.

But what was more difficult for the actor was to be able to convince himself of the kind of patriotism that army men in India showcase. "I had to look the part... I spoke to a few army men I knew and they said you need to feel like a superhero while you are defending the country. After listening to this, I started living like Azaan everyday. Getting it right was certainly a challenge," says Paresh. Now that he has been noticed and the movie is doing extremely well, the actor is hoping to bag the best debut award at upcoming award functions. "My speech is ready and I do hope to win the Filmfare award," he says.
