He is known to inhibit his character so well that he becomes the character he plays on screen.  But perhaps what stands out about Carrey is that he doesn't make a comedy, but a dramatic performance.The actor's signature facial expressions and screams won him his first Golden Globes for his movie The Mask. He proved to us that with The Truman Show that he could be emotionally charged on the screen like never before.

A bank clerk finds a mask that turns him into a maniac superhero. The mask fits in right with the actor's character. The bizarre green masked trickster definitely worked for Carrey
