Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife Andrea Hewitt have accused Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari’s father of assault after they had an altercation at a mall in Mumbai. The couple has said that he inappropriately touched Andrea, however, RK Tiwari has accused them of assaulting him and said she even took off her sandal to hit him.
According to various media reports, Vinod Kambli said that he was with his wife at Game Zone when she caught the 59-year-old’s hand after he brushed his hand on her deliberately. However, he immediately pushed her hand away and a few minutes later, RK Tiwari’s sons tried to attack Andrea, according to Vinod. When he told them to stay away, they allegedly said, that Kambli doesn’t know who they are. Ankit Tiwari, son of RK Tiwari, however, has said that when his father identified the woman, he got to know it was Kambli’s wife and decided to talk it out but they hurled abuses at him and even tried to hit him.
Andrea has alleged that RK Tiwari took ‘advantage of the crowds’ and touched her when she was playing with her children. However, as soon as she retaliated, he seemed taken aback and scared and said he did not do anything like it. While Vinod and Andrea haven’t filed a complaint, the Tiwari’s have filed a complaint with the Bangur Nagar police station and the matter is being investigated by the police.
