Netflix’s Sacred Games is kicking up a storm for all kinds of reasons and at the same time is facing criticism from the audience too. After Elnaaz Norouzi, Rajshri Deshpande is facing criticism for her sex scenes with Nawazuddin Siddique in Sacred Games. The actor plays Subhadra, wife of Nawazuddin, who plays Ganesh Gaitonde, as the show revolves around him.
According to several media reports, a lot of viewers have criticised Rajshri for the adult scenes and a few of them have even been put up on adult websites. However, in an interview, she immediately responded saying it was a tender moment between a husband and wife, and there shouldn’t be any problem at all. She went on to say that sex is a beautiful thing and it is unfortunate people are talking about it as bad. Rajshri said audiences are immature if they don’t know the relevance of the scene and it is not like she is dancing to something derogatory, either. She is only making love to her husband and not even in a crass way, she went on to add.
However, Rajshri Deshpande said that as an artist her intention wasn’t wrong and she did feel bad but only approached it as the character Subhadra.Rajshri has previously been a part of Angry Indian Goddesses and S Durga. Sacred Games is a television show based which also stars Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi and Luke Kenny among others.
