IIFA Awards: Anupam Kher dedicates award to strugglers who don’t have godfathers in Bollywood
Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher on Sunday received the Outstanding Achievement in Cinema award at IIFA 2018 in Bangkok. The actor who is known for many movies in his career, however, gave a rather unusual yet encouraging speech on receiving the award and the internet is really happy with it.
According to several reports, the 63-year-old actor said he feels really honoured and energised after the receiving the award but at the same time he would also like to dedicate the award to many actors in Bollywood. He said the award is for all those strugglers who do not have a godfather in the industry but are still working every single day to make it big. The award was given to the actor after Anil Kapoor gave an introductory speech about the actor and his career which spans over 500 films.
Earlier, Bollywood actor Sridevi was posthumously given the Best Actress award for her performance in Mom. The award was collected by her husband and filmmaker Boney Kapoor. Actor Irrfan Khan who recently spoke about his battle with cancer received the Best Actor award for his role in Hindi Medium in 2017.
