Infamous Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was let out on bail with a few conditions after he was produced in the New York court on Friday following his arrest. The American producer will have to pay a bail bond of one million dollars and will also have a GPS monitor to track his whereabouts.

Harvey Weinstein who surrendered in front of the New York police earlier on Friday was arrested for two cases among many others. He was arrested for raping one woman and forcing another to perform oral sex on him, in two separate cases in 2013 and 2004. He was charged with first and third-degree rape in one case and first-degree sex act in the other. The producer is also under investigation for crimes in Los Angeles and London.

The crimes by Harvey Weinstein came to light after American actress Rose McGowan came forward and so did many other survivors like her. The most recent was Asia Argento at the closing ceremony of Cannes 2018 while it was earlier Kate Beckinsale, Uma Thurman and Myleene Klass. The crimes by Harvey Weinstein also started the #MeToo campaign which has picked up across the world through various film industries and on social media.

The arrest comes in the wake of Morgan Freeman being accused of sexual misconduct by eight women and Woody Allen's son coming out in defense of his director father who was accused of sexual assault by his daughter Dylan Farrow. American actress Gwyneth Paltrow also made a startling revelation about how her ex-boyfriend Brad Pitt threatened Harvey Weinstein for misbehaving with her.
