After a lot of speculation about their relationship, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor on Thursday confirmed that he is indeed dating co-actor Alia Bhatt. The actor made the revelation in an interview with a leading publication. The actors are currently working on Brahmastra together and were first spotted at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding together.
According to reports, Ranbir spoke about his relationship after the release of the Sanju trailer on Wednesday and went on to say that while the relationship is new, he doesn’t want to over speak about it. He went on to add that it needs to breathe and it needs space too. Talking about Alia, he said that Alia is flowing right now and when he sees her work and her acting and even in life, he says it all makes him aspire to be like her, in his life. He added that since it is new, he wants to let it “cook” a bit.
The Sanju actor also added that he is enjoying the new phase of being “newly in love” as it comes with a lot of excitement. He said it is with a new person and comes with new beats and the old tricks become new tricks again. Ranbir also said that he has grown as a person and can appreciate hurt more than before unlike before.
Interestingly, this is the first time that one of Ranbir Kapoor or Alia Bhatt has accepted their relationship. The actors earlier had only said they had crushes on each other but never revealed more than that, peaking the interest of all their fans, like never before.
