My children coming together gave me strength: Boney Kapoor on Sridevi's death

Talking about his wife and children, producer Boney Kapoor reportedly broke down at the International Film Festival of India in Goa recently. His wife and veteran actress Sridevi passed away on February 24 this year due to accidental drowning in Dubai. While the Indian film industry and cinema lovers were shocked to hear this news, the most affected was certainly Boney and his family.

At the film festival, he reportedly said that he was going through a very difficult phase post his wife’s sudden death and his children coming together as one family gave him all the strength. “I was going through a phase where I didn’t know what was happening and the children coming together gave me a lot of strength to cope up with the situation we were facing. I couldn’t have asked for more. For a parent, children come first and seeing all my 4 children together was….kind of a balming effect after the tragedy,” he said with his ‘eyes full of tears’, according to reports.

While Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s children Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor were still coming to terms with the death of their mother, their step-brother and step-sister, Arjun and Anshula Kapoor respectively, gave the two sisters and their father support to fight through the tough times.

The five of them were also seen together at their cousin Sonam Kapoor’s wedding with Anand Ahuja. Apart from that, they’re often seen hanging out and posting pictures on social media.

Jahnvi and Arjun will also be seen together in the upcoming episode of Koffee with Karan Season 6.
