90s singer Nitin Bali dies in Mumbai road accident

Popular 90s singer Nitin Bali passed away in Mumbai on Tuesday in a car accident. He was 47.

He is known for his versions of Hindi songs Neele Neele Ambar and Ek Ajnabee Hassena Se, among others and was one of the most successful exponents of the remix era in Bollywood.

As per reports, Nitin crashed into a road divider while driving from Borivali to Malad. He was treated with some stitches for facial injuries and allowed to go home. However, soon after reaching his house, he collapsed with extremely low blood pressure and fluctuating heartbeats. He was rushed to a hospital again but he breathed his last early on Tuesday. He is survived by wife and TV actor Roma Bali and son Joshua. The prayer meeting is said to be held on Wednesday.

Nitin started his musical career in the late 1990s, and soon was famed as a pop singer. Some of his well-known remixed tracks include Chukar Mere Man Ko and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. He was married to former actor and VJ, Ruby Bhatia for three years, after which they divorced.
