After Kangana Ranaut called out Karan Johar for nepotism in Bollywood, the never-ending debate does not seem like it will end any time soon. Recently, Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon at an event said that nepotism does in the film industry, however, it is not impossible for outsiders to make a name for them in the industry and a lot of people are proving it these days.

Raveena said it is a fact that it is difficult for outsiders to work in the industry but actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and even Katrina Kaif and Sonu Sood among others have made it big. She went on to add that it is not the industry kids who form the majority, but it is also the others who came from outside and became successful in the industry. Interestingly, Raveena is the daughter of filmmaker Ravi Tandon and is one of the many star kids from the Hindi film industry.

The Dulhe Raja actress said she didn’t ask her father to launch her and depended on her own talent to get work and ended up making it on her own. However, she revealed that she did not have to send portfolios to anybody because people saw her in college and at different places and that’s how offers came her way. The actress was last seen in the revenge-thriller called Maatr.
