Rapper Jon James McMurray dies after falling off plane during wing-walking stunt
Canadian musician Jon James McMurray died while performing a stunt that involved raping, walking on the wing of a plane.
According to reports, British Columbia’s coroner’s service said that the 34-year-old rapper had been with a team making videos of plane stunts and parachuting on Saturday. His manager, Ryan Desrochers, said that James had trained ‘intensively’ for the stunt but, as he moved farther out on to a wing, the small Cessna went into a downward spiral.
He reportedly held on to the wing for long and by the time he let go, he didn’t have time to open his parachute. He died on impact. The plane and pilot later landed safely. Reports said that the case is under investigation.
James was known for combining rapping with outrageous stunts for music videos. His most-viewed clip features him rapping while skydiving and ending with him jumping off a bridge from a moving trailer.
