Fear of slipping into depression is still there, never want to experience it again: Deepika Padukone

The Padmaavat actress said that while those suffering from depression need to seek help, it is also the responsibility of all those around them to treat them with love and care.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone recently revealed that even though she has dealt with her depression to a certain extent when she told the world about it, she did not think it was brave or revolutionary. The Padmaavat actress said that while those suffering from depression need to seek help, it is also the responsibility of all those around them to treat them with love and care. 

According to a recent media report, Deepika who recently spoke about depression at a mental health awareness event, said that her personal experience with depression made her self-aware about her well-being. She went on to add that the fear of slipping into depression is still there and she definitely does not want to experience it again and so she is always aware of her thoughts, feelings and emotions. The 32-year-old actress said that talking about depression made her feel better, and she hopes by her sharing the experience, she can hope to save one life. 

Deepika Padukone is currently on a long hiatus after Ranveer Singh-starrer Padmaavat hit theatres earlier this year in January, While there are rumours surrounding the break, which hint the reason to be her wedding to Ranveer Singh in November, there is nothing confirmed. Recently, XXX: Xander Cage director DJ Caruso confirmed her appearance in the fourth instalment of the series.
