Former Miss Universe Chelsi Smith passes away at 45; Sushmita Sen mourns her loss, friendship
The 42-year-old actor was not the only one to share a photo, as Shanna Moakler who was the runner-up to Chelsi also shared a photo mourning her loss.
Chelsi Smith, Miss Universe 1995, passed away on Saturday after a long battle with cancer at her house in the US. India Miss Universe and Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen took to Twitter to share her memories with the 45-year-old actor with a photo where she passed on the crown to Chelsi, her successor.
In her post on Twitter, Sushmita Sen shared the throwback photo with the caption “I loved her smile & that generous spirit!!! Rest in peace my beautiful friend @Chelsi_Smith #MissUniverse1995 Dugga Dugga.” The 42-year-old actor was not the only one to share a photo, as Shanna Moakler who was the runner-up to Chelsi also shared a photo and took to Twitter to say she is completely heartbroken and went on to say Chelsi was a friend and a light and she was going to miss her more than she would ever know.
Chelsi Smith participated in her first beauty contest for Miss Texas USA Pageant, where she ended up being the semi-finalist. The model and television actor then went on to compete and win Miss Galveston County USA.
