In a recent interview with a leading media organisation, American rapper Lil Wayne opened up about his suicide attempt. At the age of 12, Wayne found a gun in his mother’s house and shot himself in the chest, just missing his heart, in his New Orleans' home.
According to the story by a leading magazine, the singer made the confession on an unnamed track from his upcoming album Tha Carter V. Earlier, the 35-year-old rapper has called this an accident. However, he reportedly admitted that it was a suicide attempt, undertaken after his mother told him he would no longer be allowed to rap. He further added that the lyrics about the incident was added after the suicides of designer Kate Spade and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.
