Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has returned to acting almost one year after being diagnosed with cancer. However, while he is already busy filming for Angrezi Medium, his wife Sutapa Sikdar recently shared an emotional post about the actor’s return. In the post, she has thanked all her family and friends for believing in their prayers for the actor’s recovery, and said she couldn’t have asked for more.
In the post, Sutapa said it has been the longest year of her life for Irrfan’s family, as time and pain were never measured at the same time for them ever before. However, she is taking baby steps back to work after being submerged in prayers, wishes, and faith from friends, relatives, and strangers. She also added that there is a connection with the universe which gives them a small chance for a new start. Sutapa said, “Never ever could I feel people’s wishes on my bones, my breath, my heartbeat which helped me to stay focused and kicking”.
The National School of Drama alumni also said that she does not want to take names because she knows some, and then she does not know the others, but she is thankful to everybody. However, she also apologised for not being able to respond to everybody’s messages as she is busy getting back to the normal routine of work and life.
For the uninitiated, Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in February 2018, because of which he had a neuroendocrine tumour. The actor underwent treatment for the disease in London for the whole of last year, and only returned to Mumbai recently. The actor has already started shooting for Angrezi Medium, a sequel to the 2017 film Hindi Medium, starring Radhika Madan and Kareena Kapoor.
