Amruta Khanvilkar

AMRUTA KHANVILKAR WHO portrayed the role of Munira in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi has embarked on a journey to fight her fears. The Mumbai-based actor who made her Bollywood debut with Hattrick and who is known to have worked extensively in Marathi films will be seen doing different stunts and overcoming her fears with the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. Currently shooting in Bulgaria, Amruta talks about being an adventurous soul, enjoying thrills and more...

You have participated in dance reality shows but Khatron Ke Khiladi is a different ball game altogether. What made you try it?

Frankly, I don’t know what fears I have and there’s nothing in particular. But I follow my instincts when it comes to choosing a project. Also, I love adventure and I am always looking out for an opportunity to do something daring. As a person, I want to see myself growing in terms of experience and I think this show is apt for me as I’ll be experiencing so much on it.

How did you train yourself for the challenge?

Well, I have been involved in all types of physical training — whether it is parkour, suspension training, working on my core, arms strengthening or swimming. I have also been meditating as I am a very impulsive and reactive person. The show is not just about strength but also about fighting your fears.

What’s your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is not being able to do something. I am very hard on myself if I quit something. It’s not about winning or losing for me but rather, about completing the job. So, my biggest fear is what if I am not able to do it and it would hurt me a lot if I don’t try.

Who else from the industry will be joining you?

You will see Karishma Tanna, Karan Patel, Dharmesh and many more.

What is your strategy going to be?

My strategy is to enjoy the stunt to the fullest, the result comes later. But to enjoy it and push myself to complete a given task is something that I am looking forward to.

Who are your favourite participants from previous seasons?

Nia Sharma, Ravi Dubey, Ritwik and Bharti.

When can we see you next on the big screen?

You will be seeing me in a Bollywood project, early next year.
