After a five-year hiatus actress Genelia D'Souza graced the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019. She was the showstopper for Kolkata-based designer and bridal wear specialist Saroj Jalan and sashayed on the ramp looking resplendent as a modern-day bride even as doting husband Riteish Deshmukh cheered for her from the front row.
She looked ethereal in a hand-embroidered bright red lehenga. Apart from sequinned lehenga and choli, she also donned a jacket adding a contemporary twist. There was a hint of bohemian chic about her get up - her dark kohl-rimmed eyes, red lips and out of the box chunky oxidised neckpiece and earrings made the look edgy. The collection, Banji by Saroj Jalan is her Autumn/Winter 2019 collection where she reimagines the idea of bridal wear for the free-spirited Indian brides. The line incorporates fluid panelled skirts and incorporates bandhej coupled with the Rajasthani dori work.
