Amidst all the controversies in Bollywood surrounding Kangana Ranaut’s film Manikarnika, the actor has announced that she will be directing her own biopic, which is yet untitled. Interestingly, the biopic will be written by the Manikarnika’s KV Vijayendra Prasad and the actor said it will not be a propaganda film with characters who are starkly black and white. However, she said it will be a sincere, heartfelt account of her journey so far with plenty of lighter moments.

Talking about her upcoming project, Kangana said that she will not be taking any names in the film but it will be her life, and the highs and lows. She went on to add that in the end it will be a story about an achiever and a girl who came from the hills to Mumbai and entered Bollywood without any connections or godfather. The 31-year-old actress said it will also be about how she went on to carve a niche for herself with films like Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel as well as Fashion and Queen while also getting three National Awards till now.

Earlier, Kangana had criticised Alia Bhatt for asking for favours but not watching her film Manikarnika even when she personally told her about it. The actor also went on to criticise the film industry for not supporting her with the film, and being silent while she was being attacked by the Karni Sena. Interestingly, Manikarnika is slowly moving closer to the 100 crore club as it has already amassed 95 crores since its release on January 26.
