With the world still mourning the death of the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, it has come to light that his cat Choupette, could inherit a slice of his estimated US$200 million fortune. With over 170,000 followers on social media, Choupette is the world’s most famous cat and enjoys a lifestyle that many humans can only dream of. The cat has two maids, a personal bodyguard, and a personal chef, who creates some of her favourite meals, from the hottest restaurants in Paris.

Last year, Lagerfeld was quoted as saying that his pet would receive a share of his riches. And it has been reported that it can actually be done if certain legal procedures and structures are put in place.

Is it speculated that the designer’s male model muse, Brad Kroenig and his son, Hudson (who also happens to be Lagerfeld’s godson) might also inherit some of the fortune.

Lagerfeld, who was the creative director of Fendi, Chanel and his eponymous label, Karl Lagerfeld, until his death, passed away on Tuesday, after reportedly battling pancreatic cancer.
