The accuser is immature, Rajkumar Hirani is a very respectable director: Karishma Tanna

Days after Bollywood producer Rajkumar Hirani was accused of sexual harassment by an assistant director of Sanju, the actors from the film are speaking out. While earlier it was Dia Mirza, who said she hopes a proper investigation is carried out, Karishma Tanna has now spoken up but she unlike Dia supports Hirani entirely and had quite a few words to say. 

Karishma, in a recent interview, said that whoever the accuser of the sexual harassment row is, is actually quite immature, and she is quite shocked and upset that with the allegations. She went on to add that Rajkumar Hirani being a veteran and respectable director and producer, she cannot even think of such a thing. The Sanju actress said that having worked with Hirani it has been a brilliant pleasure and an outstanding experience for her. Karishma said the person could have simply said no instead of putting false allegations against people. 

Interestingly, Dia Mirza and Karishma Tanna are not the only ones who have come out in support but Javed Akhtar and Sharman Joshi, among others, have supported the director. While Rajkumar Hirani has denied the allegations, he said when it first came out he wanted to go through a legal process but the accuser went directly to the media. The film Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, received a lot of critical acclaims but has recently got in the middle of the controversy after the allegation.
