As Salman Khan gears up to return as Chulbul Pandey in the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise, rumours are doing rounds that Sandalwood actor Sudeep will play the villain in the same.
“Sudeep and Salman have been planning to team up on a film for a long time and things have finally fallen in place. The two will engage in Tom and Jerry kind of skirmishes in Dabangg 3. Sudeep's character has shades of grey,” a close source reportedly said to a leading media organisation.
According to reports, director and popular dancer Prabhudheva narrated a brief to Sudeep, who seemed interested in taking up the role. However, none of them has made an announcement yet.
Recently, Salman surprised fans when he praised the teaser of Sudeep’s upcoming Kannada film, Pailwaan, where he (Sudeep) plays a wrestler.
The Tubelight actor, who played a wrestler in Sultan, wrote, “You have taken what we started to another level, all the best and congrats to the MAN, to the PAILWAAN.”
Meanwhile, Arbaaz Khan, who is producing Dabangg 3, confirmed that the film will go on floors in April. It will reportedly be shot over 90-100 days. Sonakshi Sinha will reprise her role as Salman’s wife Rajjo.
