Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani’s wedding to Anand Piramal was one of the biggest event in India last year.
From the star-studded pre-wedding celebrations in Udaipur to the fairy tale wedding and receptions, the wedding was the only thing that everyone was talking about. Opening up about her big day for the first time recently, Isha said that it was a very emotional affair for her family to see her get married.
In an interview given to a leading fashion magazine, the 27-year-old said, “She (Nita Ambani) and dad did all the hard work. Thankfully, we ended up liking the same things, so that made it a breeze. I didn’t go to a single wedding meeting. I was never someone who dreamt of how my wedding would be, yet it was wonderful in more ways than I can imagine.”
“I was emotional too but everyone around me would cry all the time. I only cried at my bidaai because I felt some peer pressure as everyone else was crying, especially my parents,” says Isha.
Isha married Anand on December 12 at Antilia, Mukesh Ambani residence in Mumbai.
