Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan has come to the rescue of farmers; once again. This time, he has cleared the loans of over 2,000 farmers from Bihar.
"A promise made done .. the farmers from Bihar that had outstanding loans, picked 2100 of them and paid off their amount with a OTS with the Bank .. called some of them over to Janak and personally gave it to them .. at the hands of Shweta and Abhishek..." wrote Bib B on his personal blog. As noted in the post, he settled their accounts at his office, Janak.
The movie icon had previously written that "there is the gift of those that suffer from the inability to pay back the loans. They be now from the state of Bihar".
Bachchan has previously helped ailing farmers by paying off the loans of over one thousand farmers from Uttar Pradesh.
As a follow up to his announcement post he also wrote, "..another promise to be completed .. to the family and wives of the brave hearts that sacrificed their lives for the Country, at Pulwama, a small gesture of financial aid .. true ‘shaheeds’...
The 76-year-old actor is currently preparing for ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ the next film by Shoojit Sircar with whom the star has previously worked with for the 2015 comedy-drama film Piku.
