Former Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre has come a long way since July 4, 2018, when she first posted about her cancer diagnosis on Instagram. Recently, at an event the 44-year-old spoke about how she had to visit a psychiatrist to deal with the effect the diagnosis had on her and she even asked him, if she had done anything wrong to her body to deserve it. However, in a recent interview, she revealed her 20-inch scar and spoke about her journey.
In the interview, Sonali revealed that she now has a loving relationship now than ever before because of all that it has gone through in the last few months. Baring her scar for the photoshoot, she revealed that she does not find it ugly anymore and now finds it beautiful but doesn’t really know when the shift happened for her. However, she said that she does not have to stress about wearing a two-piece anymore or that she does not have a flat stomach. Famous for many commercials in the 90s, the actor went on to add that she has now started thanking the body for what it has done and the process of healing and taking it forward for her. Being the ‘brand’ of healthy eating, she revealed that she is now more comfortable with her body and does not want to unnecessarily stress it or even have realistic goals for it. Adding that she is now okay with some saggy, loose bits here, some cellulite there.
Ever since her diagnosis, Sonali Bendre has shared her journey dealing with cancer and through the treatment which she underwent in New York. From sharing pictures of her husband Goldie Behl and of her song Ranveer, she has also shared pictures of herself in the long flowing hair, to losing it all and the most recent neat crop.
