Popular fashion designer Masaba Gupta and producer Madhu Mantena have filed for divorce in Bandra’s family court on Wednesday.
The couple, who separated on trial basis in August last year, reportedly released a joint statement that read: “After much thought and consideration, we have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. We have decided to move forward separately and get divorced.”
Masaba also shared the news of mutual separation last year saying: “With a lot of sadness, Madhu and I have today decided to go on a trial separation in our marriage. Both of us have taken this decision in consultation with professionals and our parents.”
Daughter of actress Neena Gupta and former West Indies batsman Vivian Richards got married to Madhu in 2015.
On the professional front, Madhu’s production company with his partners, Phantom Films, was dissolved and he has been focusing on his upcoming productions – Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 and Ranveer Singh’s 83. Meanwhile, Masaba has been expanding her design label by opening outlets across the country.
