Following the announcement of the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya, actor Anupam Kher tweeted to his followers in Hindi saying, "Allah Tero Naam, Ishwar Tero Naam. Sabko Sanmati De Bhagwaan."

The lines are from Allah Tero Naam Ishwar Tero Naam song from the movie Hum Dono. The song was penned by Sahir Ludhianvi, composed by Jaidev and sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

After seven decades of a protracted legal battle, the Supreme Court on Saturday pronounced the judgment in Ayodhya case. The court ordered the Central Government to formulate a scheme for setting up of a trust and hand them over the disputed site for the construction of the temple. It also said that a suitable alternative plot of land measuring five acres at Ayodhya will be given to Sunni Wakf Board. Soon after the verdict, reactions came out.

While some celebrated the verdict, most requested people to accept it while urging them to maintain peace.
