After appearing in series like Ghoul and Sacred Games, actress Radhika Apte will reportedly next be seen in Shantaram, based on Gregory David Roberts’ bestselling novel.
She will feature alongside actor Charlie Hunnam in the upcoming series by Apple TV.
According to reports, Radhika and actor Richard Roxburgh have been cast as series regular in the show, which hails from Anonymous Content and Paramount Television. The Lust Stories star is said to play Kavita, an Indian journalist.
The story follows Lin (Hunnam), a man on the run from an Australian prison looking to get lost in the teeming city of Bombay. Cut off from family and friends by distance and fate, he finds a new life in the slums, bars and underworld of India.
The project is expected to start production next month in Australia and India.
