Baahubali fans can now extend their cinematic experience beyond FDFS, for the makers have now come out with an exclusive animated series, comic books and even a game themed around the film
Baahubali goes digital in three ways

Sure, the whole world knows ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali’ by now. But if you’re a hardcore Baahubali fan, here’s some more intrigue. You can now extend your fandom in not one, but three ways — a Baahubali-themed game, an animated series and a comic book — all three developed by Bengaluru-based Graphic India, in collaboration with Arka Mediaworks and Moonfrog Labs.

Game on
Launched this April, Baahubali – The Game is developed by Mark Skaggs (developer of Farmville, Empire & Allies and Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth), who is known to be an expert in the RTS (Real Time Strategy) genre of games. It already has over five million downloads, making it the second most downloaded app in India. Skaggs says, “The game is available in regional languages too thus enabling it to get positive feedback from a bigger audience.” Director SS Rajamouli gives his verdict, “I would like to think of this app as an extension of the Mahishmati universe.”

Comic relief
Baahubali: The Battle of the Bold is the digital comic novel set years before the events of the film, where a younger Baahubali and Bhallaladeva take part in a tournament of champions. With well etched-out plots and amazing graphic art, it promises to be a noteworthy read. “The quality of this first Baahubali graphic novel captures the high visual art and storytelling that we’re sure will appeal to fans of both the movies and comic books,” says Shobu Yarlagadda, CEO of Arka Mediaworks.

Mission animation
The animated series Baahubali: The Lost Legend focuses on themes like adventure, intrigue, betrayal, war, romance, bravery and heroism. Sharad Devarajan, co-founder and CEO, Graphic India, says, “While we have kept it true to the movies, the audience can also learn for the first time the events that shaped Baahubali from a young prince into a legendary hero.”
On Amazon Prime.
