Kamal Haasan started acting when he was just four years old and won the President’s Gold medal for his debut film Kalathur Kannamma. To bring novelty and creativity to his characters onscreen, the actor has experimented with his looks in several movies. His innovative acting has earned him the title of "The first, and perhaps the last, complete hero in Indian cinema".

With the World Television Premiere of his ambitious project Vishwaroop on Zee Cinema on August 3, we bring to you five avatars of Kamal Haasan which makes him the ‘Master of Disguise’:-

Chachi 420
Sure, this role was inspired by Robin Williams’Mrs. Doubtfire. But who else in the industry than Kamal Haasan to have pulled off playing a Tamil maami, nine-yard saree and all?

Hindustani
Kamal Haasan was only 40 years old when he transformed himself into a 70-year-old vigilante

Anbe Sivam
In this vastly underrated film, Kamal explored pet themes of atheism and communism. He was superb as the angry young labour leader and later as the man with a scarred face, broken teeth and a limp, espousing the principle of ‘Anbe Sivam’

Dasaavatharam
The actor par excellence in this movie played not one, two or three but ten distinctive roles surprising all his fans; each character distinct and hugely entertaining.

Vishwaroop
In his most ambitious project, Kamal Haasan disguises himself as a Kathak teacher Vishwanath who lives with his wife, a nuclear oncologist, in New York. He also plays Viz, a Tamil Jihadi in Kashmir and is wanted by the Indian Army.

Watch the World Television Premiere of Vishwaroop this Friday 3rd August at 9 pm only on Zee Cinema
