Freida Pinto, Richa Chadha’s Love Sonia to open Indian Film Festival in Australia

The film based on a true story is by debutant director Tabrez Noorani who has previously been involved in rescue missions in India and Hong-Kong, where children were trafficked.

Actor Freida Pinto will be accompanying Love Sonia director Tabrez Noorani along with Richa Chadha and Mrunal Thakur to Australia’s Indian Film Festival. The film which revolves around an Indian village getting trapped in the flesh trade while trying to save her sister is a directorial debut for Noorani and will see him go to Melbourne after England this year. 

According to a report with a leading publication, Love Sonia will be opening at the Indian Film Festival in Australia which will take place from August 10 to August 22 next month. Inspired by true events, the film has been shot in Jaipur, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Tabrez, is not new to the scary world of human sex trafficking and has previously been involved in rescue missions in India and Hong-Kong and the movie is based on a true story. 

The film will be released in India this September and stars Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Sai Tamhankar, Sunny Parwar, Demi Moore, Mark Duplass. It has been produced by David Womack and has been co-produced by Amar Butala.
