Nana Patekar’s Ab Tak Chhappan writer Ravi Shankar Alok allegedly commits suicide

Reportedly, the 32-year-old writer jumped off his building on Wednesday. 

Screenplay writer Ravi Shankar Alok, who is said to have been a part of Nana Patekar’s Ab Tak Chhappan, reportedly committed suicide on Wednesday. According to reports, the 32-year-old artiste, a resident of Andheri in Mumbai, jumped off his building around 2 am. No suicide note was found by the police in Alok’s house.

His body was discovered when the guard of a neighbouring building heard some noise and ran to find out what had happened. An investigation of the case has been launched by the Mumbai city police.

Ravi was reportedly a part of Ab Tak Chhappan, a 2004 Bollywood crime thriller film starring Nana Patekar, directed by Shimit Amin and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. The film that premièred at the New York Asian Film Festival was inspired by the life of Mumbai Police sub-Inspector Daya Nayak.
